I posted these earlier and linked to them in the SR90 review, but I forgot to post an update here. So for those of you who haven't seen them, here is my first shootout. There's a link at the top to a tool which I hope makes the pictures easier to compare.
This massive Intimidator is the first LED flashlight to enter HID territory. And better yet, this is no quirky prototype: Olight's creation has the polish of a flashlight years in the making.
Update 5-18-2010: Poll closed - thank you for your votes. The most popular background color is white, so white it will be.
Poll: which background do you prefer?
I've been working on various aspects of the site. The design has undergone two complete remakes, with this being the first that I think looks decent (of course, I welcome any suggestions via email). Html/css and scripting have been cleaned up a lot, so pages will load faster and are less likely to format incorrectly. The database is largely completed - I'm just working on formatting features and images, as well as double-checking safety / robustness. Last, I hope to replace this textual home page with a js powered slideshow. Since most of these require libraries or excessive complexity, I wrote my own script (link). It's a lot shorter and more efficient, but as it's homebrew I don't know that it works for everybody - please check it out and tell me if it doesn't work.
SunriseInfo is proud to be among the first to review this revolutionary flashlight. This flashlight is the first to use Luminus' upcoming SST-55, which offers the output of their larger SST-90 at the same power and size as the SST-50. In addition, the DarkFire A1 implements a unique "auto-range" system, which automatically adjusts output and beam pattern according to the distance it is used at, as well as the length of time your eyes have had to adapt to the darkness. All of this it offers in a titanium tank of a body the size of your common 1xAA flashlight.
This unique flashlight has a lot of uncommon benefits.
A tougher and throwier version of the successful Quark series.
This clean and bright light takes mini very seriously.
A surprisingly satisfying flashlight in a convenient form factor.
A compact flashlight that packs a punch.
This update to the top-performing JETBeam M1X adds a smoother beam and an ultra-bright boost mode.
The website has been updated a bit:
The first review at SunriseInfo.us is finally up. The website design is now functional, but may still be polished. I'm still working on the database, search, and other scripted features.
